The Information and Training Programme is responsible for all training activities, information providence, and awareness campaigns run through or by NATICC. These activities take various forms, including the holding of workshops, the establishments of health clubs in schools, the sponsoring of educational speeches, etc. While the workshops held are primarily run by NATICC training staff, the widespread distribution of information is run by a network of volunteers, both in and out of school. To best understand this distribution, it is helpful to have an image of the Swazi governing structure. The Shiselweni region is divided into three tinkhundla (singular inkhundla), which are each further divided into chiefdoms; there are 17 chiefdoms in the region. Each chiefdom selected a youth to be a Peer Educator, and each inkhundla has a responsible Coordinator. Every month, the Peer Educators meet at their respective tinkhundla centres where they give feedback and reports on their monthly visitations and activities, and the Coordinators and Peer Educators meet together at the NATICC office at the end of every month to submit reports. Each Peer Educator has a community profile where they conduct behavioural change messages, including individual appointments, group presentations at various social centres (e.g. churches, soccer fields, shops, community gardens). They also assist in mobilizing the community for voluntary counselling and testing (VCT), which is done by NATICC staff in outreach events. Peer Educators are required to attend periodic training sessions led by NATICC training staff to further their development as leaders. Prayer Requests
